About Jack Kalvan
30+ years ago, Jack left his job at IBM Research to pursue a career of throwing stuff in the air and making people laugh. Since then, he has delighted audiences around the world and become “Hollywood’s favorite juggler”, with his skills being featured in numerous movies, commercials and TV shows (like America’s Got Talent, Alice in Wonderland, Coyote Ugly, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Conan, NCIS, Anger Management, General Hospital, Days of our Lives, and many more.)
In competitions, Jack has won gold medals and even held world records.
He has performed more than 3,000 shows in over 200 cities around the world, including the White House in Washington, DC, the Wintergarten in Berlin, the LA Opera, numerous corporate events, fairs, and casinos, and over 200 cruises… Jack Kalvan has done it all.
Since 2006, Jack has produced "XJuggling", the extreme juggling best trick competition, to help promote the creativity and excitement of juggling.
Cirque du Soleil has utilized Jack's skills and creative innovation to help develop new acts for their shows.
In 2018, Jack published his first book, “When Balls Collide: Understanding the Skill of Juggling”. His research was also featured by Wired Magazine.
Jack continues to push the envelope, inventing new tricks, and trying to give the public something they've never seen before.
Jack Kalvan is based in Los Angeles. When he’s not juggling, he enjoys fixing up his house, being a dad, thinking about philosophy, playing frisbee, and building robots.
The Kalvan Family
When Jack Kalvan & Jeri Habberstad met, they shared a love of circus and stunt skills. One thing led to another and they soon put together a little juggling and acrobatic act, got married, had kids, bought a house, and built onto the back of it a nice practice space called JJGym.
Now 20+ years later, Jack and Jeri Kalvan credit their happy marriage to throwing things at each other. Their sons, Max and Oz (now 21 & 17 years old), grew up learning many unusual skills, which were gradually incorporated into an extraordinary family show.
The Kalvan Family has received rave reviews, performing at fairs, festivals, theaters and corporate events.
The members of the Kalvan family all have numerous TV, movie, and commercial credits individually, and they’ve also appeared together on America’s Got Talent, KC Undercover, the Kevin Langue Show, a Mr. Beast video, and The Gong Show (where they won the final episode).
JJGym has also become a popular training space for their many incredibly talented circus and stunt friends.
